Common Foot Problems
|
This condition is commonly given the name "Policemans Heel" , its
proper name is Plantar Fasciitis . Commonly it is worst on first rising
or when the foot has been rested for a while. It
is imperative that should you
be suffering from this that you should seek advice from a
Chiropodist/Podiatrist as soon as possible. This condition is
relatively easy to treat if it is caught early. |
The nail on the great toe is most affected. Sometimes the condition is
started by an injury or poor cutting in any case early treatment may be
able to resolve the problem . In some cases a portion of the nail has
to be removed permanantly , this is a straight forward procedure that
can be done in the surgery under local anaesthetic |

Poor footwear selection can often lead to problems. Certain
foot and medical conditions also require careful selection of footwear
and may require specialist correctional footwear. I advise on choosing
correct fitting shoes, selection of the right
orthapaedic shoes and can provide simple correctional insoles, or refer
for specialist correctional footwear.. |
